January 2012 training

For the remainder of January, training is at Norman Griffiths Oval, 30 Lofberg Rd (near Ryde Rd), West Pymble from 7pm – 9.30pm.

If you have indicated that you want to play with Wildcard this season (which should mean you’re on our mailing group) and you’re not currently interstate, then you need to let Kylie know if you are UNABLE to make training.

Training starts 3 Nov

Our first Spring Session kicks off this Thursday 3 November.

The Thursday Spring Sessions in November will all be held at Regimental Park, Killara starting at 6.30pm.

The park is right near Killara train station.

Please try and be on time so we can get into the session as early as possible. These sessions will be focussed on introducing strength and conditioning exercises (that you can use at home in front of the tv) and running through some throwing skills to set us up for the coming season. The sessions themselves should take around an hour, after which we’ll head to the Greengate hotel just down the road for some refreshing beverages.

It’s a New Season..

Now that Australia’s Next Top Model is over, it’s time to get off the couch, ditch the Fattitude and kick off another awesome Wildcard Season.
To ease into things, we’ll be holding Spring Sessions throughout Thursdays in November.
The Spring Sessions will kick off on Thursday 3 November and will be a short session including strength & conditioning training in addition to some throwing and basic skills followed by a trip to the pub for some Georgia’s Stories. This is a chance to bring a friend, or ask along that fast chick from NSL, Uni, the gym or your mixed nats team. All welcome.
Scrimmages and ‘full on’ training will start in earnest in December/January but the Spring Sessions will provide a great base to launch from for the rest of the season.
I’m also pleased to announce that this year in a massive coup we have secured as the Wildcard coach, the coach of the Australian Firetails Team! (guaranteed to be a lot better than the chump we had last season).
Stay tuned for details on time and location for the Spring Sessions, but put it in the diary now and starting thinking of people you could ask along. The coach has offered to shout drinks for anyone who brings along a new player to any of the sessions.
This year is going to be fun peoples, but then again it always is.
Crossie.
